Junior Space Explorers is designed for children entering 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade in the fall of 2010, and offers four, week-long
programs of camp featuring a variety of hands-on,
age-appropriate, activities while learning
about astronauts, flight,
astronomy, the physical world,
ecology and much more.
Campers will discover how airplanes and
spacecraft fly, how astronauts live and
work in space, and how scientists use special
instruments to gather information about the
universe and the physical world around us. By constructing and launching pop rockets, participating in LEGO challenges,
observing the Sun through solar glasses,
constructing telescopes, and performing astronaut balance and dexterity
training exercises, the campers will have fun while learning
about many aspects relating to the world of science.
Campers will also experience age-appropriate, specially-designed missions
in our NASA-designed Spacecraft Simulator.
